Self-Help (#2023036)

This piece is part of “The Self Series”. 

A true story inspired this piece of calligraphy. An elderly slipped and fell, had his feet stuck in between the gap between the MRT and platform when trying to disembark. No one offered help, just stared and watched. Luckily, he managed to pull his feet out of it and off the MRT before the door closed.  Where help is not readily available, the ability to help oneself  becomes  the key to pull off at unpredictable circumstances. 

This artwork is not framed. The coloured rice paper (diameter approx 28 cm) has been factory-mounted on square paper card (34×34 cm). You can send it to your preferred vendor to frame it or buy ready-made frame.
