Metta Welfare Association (Metta), the welfare arm of Golden Pagoda Buddhist Temple, was founded in 1992 by Venerable Shi Fa Zhao, Abbot of the Golden Pagoda Buddhist Temple and founding Abbot and President of the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and Museum. Metta plays a pivotal role in realising its mission at nine welfare centres island wide, serving 1,150 beneficiaries from a wide spectrum of ages with special needs and disability.
