About the Instructor
Come learn from award winning filmmaker and former Discovery Channel executive producer, Tan Siok Siok. The films she produced have garnered multiple awards and nomination at the Asian TV Awards and Taiwan’s Emmys, the Golden Bell Awards.
In 2012 she started a creative experiment by sharing a photo of the Beijing hutongs every day on social media. She was discovered and signed by a top literary agent in China and published two books in 2017. One of the books, her interdisciplinary collaboration with novelist,Ning Ken, won China’s prestigious Lu Xun literary prize. Siok now combines her award winning expertise with the power of the smart phone as she teaches mobile visual storytelling around the world.
