Communication made more accessible with deaf-friendly masks

While wearing masks is the new normal in the COVID-19 for safety reasons, it poses a communication barrier between the deaf and hearing people. A deaf lady, Roseanne below shares her challenges of communicating with people wearing masks in Singapore Sign Language (SgSL).

Subtitles are available for people who don’t know SgSL. Singapore Anglican Community Services came up with a way to make it easier for deaf people to lip-read. Find out how they enabled communication to be more accessible for the deaf. Check out their reusable communicator masks.
